You might have noticed that I didn’t post a blog entry at 9 a.m. U.S. Eastern Time. I could blame the switch to Daylight Saving Time. I could tell you I just got distracted because my family was visiting this week, which is true. I could blame busy-ness, stress, or any number of issues that regularly afflict the freelance writer. However, the truth is that I just plain forgot. You have my apologies. I recall an executive I worked for up in DC (a former general), who explained to me that “The proper response if you drop the ball is, ‘No excuse, sir’.” Just own the oversight, apologize, and get it in gear to fix the problem created by your oversight as soon as possible.
