Checking That Box

It seems that all English majors are expected to do certain things with their skills (or lives) to be considered worthy of the title. Paid to write? Check. At least one bad novel written? Check. Teach a class? Ahh, there’s something I haven’t done yet. But fear not: I’m about to rectify that. I’m in the process of filling out paperwork so I can teach Business Writing at University of Alabama-Huntsville (UAH). Assuming all the forms are obeyed, I’ll be keeping busy on Tuesday and Thursday nights, 5:30-6:40 p.m.

What will this mean for the average Heroic Technical Writing reader? Well, it means you might see fewer entries…or you might see more. Not sure how this blogging gig will work while teaching, but since this is a teaching blog, I expect that I’ll at least have a few students interested in what I have to say. If any of you regular readers have been college professors, I’d appreciate any advice.

Stay tuned, folks. More excitement ahead.
